Description

For the past three months I haven't been able to do much imaging.  On the nights when I have been able to image I've setup in my backyard and done Jupiter hoping to capture a cool moon/shadow transit or awsome image of the GRS side.  I'm still trying for that, but in the meantime I have captured some nice images of the 'boring side."  This is one of my favorites.  On this night the seeing was probably 6-7, which is as good as it gets here in Northern IL, and transparency was average.  While I was processing the image I inverted the colors by mistake and just loved the way it looked.  The inverted image shows all of the cloud details that are captured by the camera in the white bands of the planet but that are not readily visible in the final image (at least I haven't figured out how to bring them out).  Anyway, clear skies and happy imaging.

ps. If you are a Jupiter and/or Saturn imager don't forget to check your images for planetary impacts.
